Advice

I find that drugs do not help me. They just numb the feelings.

These suggestions should help although I do not always do them.
1. Do some exercise like a walk, hike in the woods, biking, roller blading, etc.
2. Listen to some soothing sounds like classical music, the sound of rushing water, etc.
3. Turn off the tv.
4. Pray and read the Bible.
5. A cup of tea or coffee, regular meals, sometimes something with sugar for some energy.
6. Make sure you are getting enough rest.
7. Sometimes aspirin and gargling with listerine does the trick. Many times I am coming down with a cold or a fever and do not realize it.
8. B vitamins ( I usually take a multivitamin)
9. Shower or take a bath every day.
10. Grooming, shaving or putting on makeup every day helps.
11. Talk to a close friend (do not shut yourself away from other people)
12. Do for others. When you do for others you forget about yourself.
Volunteer at a Soup Kitchen, Deliver Meals to the Homebound, get involved in a church activity. You will socialize with others, help other people, and feel better about yourself.
13. I hope these suggestions help.
