Hi there,
I'm having a bad day today and googled Depression to see if there was anything that could help me, you see I've been depressed for years. I have never been a happy, energetic person but it's been worse the last 10 years and I'm only 24. So, today I'm having a bad day, the sun is shining but I've not left my flat all day. The doctor thinks it's linked to other medical problems I have so won't give me anti-depressants but does keep recommending counselling (which I'm not ready for though I have tried it several times). So, my advice! This is something that always brightens me temporialy-Chocolate, a cup of coffee, a good movie and a chat to my mum. I don't have any friends I can talk to and my boyfriend has trouble understanding but my mum has been there and done it.
It doesn't matter if its a temporary fix, if it's enough to get you to pick up the phone or to see the doctor or a counsellor it becomes a long term fix.
Thank you Guys for your advice and I hope mine inspires!
