I am 18 and it has been just over a year since I started taking medication (Citopram) for my depression. Allow yourself to go see a doctor and if he perscribes, take the medication - not because it will magically heal you, but because it will provide you with a clearer thought process to perceive things better.
However, medication on it's own will not suffice. The medication renewed my mind, but that just left me in a state of confusion. Find an output (writing helps for me) to express your complex thoughts and, most importantly, PRAY. Knowing about something and experiencing it are two completely different things. If you're depressed, then you know you have nothing to lose if you try it.
