People told me that the depression wasn't "all in my head." But it WAS all in my head - it was in my thoughts, and in my brain chemistry. Your treatment has to make sense to you for this reason. If you're like me and exercise/cognitive behavioural therapy/whatever makes you want to die, remember it doesn't mean you deserve what you're going through. When you're better, your thoughts and your feelings will change - that's what depression is. You'll understand what you're going through now. Until then, find and follow things that make you feel better and avoid the rest. It IS about you right now, and it will be until you can handle the rest.
