ok, so you tried st john's wort and it hasn't worked. but have you been taking the right dosage (regularly) and did you buy a reputable brand? there's a tendancy when you're depressed to frantically try out anything to fight another slump but to do the whole thing rather haphazardly. taking a few tablets here and there is just not going to work. keep a diary and be strict with yourself: I didn't and wasn't and thought that i'd have to go on medication (something I really wasn't keen on). as a last resort I tried SJW again but bought a brand that had been recommended (Kira) and did exactly what it said on the packet. it worked within about two weeks. I feel like my lows aren't as profound and that I can think more clearly about my life and what I have to change to be happy. I also have a lot more energy (i.e. wake up at 6am and feel completely rested). hope that's useful.
