I am on 20mg a day, how much are you on,
i still feel worse on a morning, and by night time I am ok, what are bad times, your right it does stop you feeling emotional, but it does not stop you getting down,
anyway hope you are feeling better, we can beat this, we are not alone.
take care

Hi,I've just read both case studies on fluxotine; I started on it about 3 years ago on 20mg,tried to come off a few times went cold turkey (NOT the wisest decision I've ever made) any way, I'm now on 200mg a day, gone through the jack daniels stage , but what I'm trying to say is ; even on the full strength there are still no emotions as such, just that dull feeling of standing outside and observing the world,so try not to go any higher on the dosage, look for other outlets ,I know it's a cliche but creative media does help: painting, writing, music etc. all the best.

hi ive been on it for about a year started off at 20mg now its 40mg and I dont feel anybetter now im on 40mg fluxotine and 25mg antitriplon and diazapan and sleeping tablets I was woundering if I was on to much medication

believe me it isn't the fluoxitine that causes numbness - I have depression and take no medication and am emotionally numb- it is a symptom of the illness

i have tried various anti - depressents over a nine year period, some helped but the' shakey hand' - symptoms of some became to much and i'd have to switch drugs. venlafaxine was a good one for my type of depression but had to keep upping doeses which was fine until the shakes and twitches started.
have been taking prozac now for about 2years - 20mg - most emotions have been dulled but I can work on them. my worry is the bad night sweats could be due to pmt, dont want to stop the prozac because of this - as I dont think it is the cause, but I dont look forward to going to sleep !

hi I have been off a drug called citalopram for 2 weeks now and have been finding it really hard to cope . I have just started taking a herbal tablet called kalms to try and help me. has any one out there tried them

I am 17 and have been taking fluxotine for 6 days now and am woried about the side-effects. If anybody even suggest that I look pale I take extreme panik attacks. I fear going too far out-side in fear of falling ill out there. This has had (along with other things) lead me to be isolated inside the house and even more depressed. Am off prozac because it did not help me in the right way (sickness different levels of depression ect...) What else is left?

It may be worth mentioning that when last out at the shops a coupable of weeks ago I paniked and took a quick escape and through myself infront of a bus but only a couple of piteful scratches and humilated my self I dont need councling or pills or doctors I need a friend who knows what this is and what or when it works someone I can relate to.
What do other people need?
