Case Studies

Hi,
I am 29 and feel a bit silly writing, but thought it might help me to write things down and seek advice from people who are obviously feeling the same as I am. I had a great childhood, but depression runs in the family, my younger sister tried to take her life 5 years ago, and as the older sister I feel that I have to be the strong one.
I recently gave up on my dream of being an actress and trained to be a drama teacher, I am struggling to keep smiling, I just cry all the time, feel worthless and often wonder what is the point in living? Eating? Sleeping? I think about things in loads of detail constantly - I get frustrated at myself and keep telling myself to snap out of it, but cant.
My partner also has 'issues' with anger and I have now become passive and submissive to the point where I just cry, walk out the door and roam the streets. My only passion in life was acting and I know that sounds indulgent but I cant carry on with a half life. I am bitter and angry and unmotivated and lonely and scared, and feel like my dream of a happy life is slipping away, my partner says I have lost all my fight, my family say I have changed, and at the moment it takes all my effort to convince people at work that I am the zany, enthusiastic, driven drama teacher that they all think I am! I wouldnt dream of not giving the kids my best but its killing my soul! any advice welcome
