I'm 25 and have had low feelings for sometime. I went through a period of self-harm when I was 17/18 but am through that now.
It has only been recently that I have recognised that I may be depressed and whilst this has been a relief (realising that my feelings are not my fault or random) it has also been difficult with my family. My partner has been very supportive but my mum believes I'm not depressed.
I haven't seen a doctor for fear of it being on my medical record and as I want to go into psychology as a career I am scared it would adversely affect my chances.
I feel I have to make it on my own really but I have good days and bad days. Today is not such a good day, I just feel tired and feel like crying really. Although my depression I guess would be classed as mild, to me it is pretty bad and effects a lot of things in my life. My current struggle is to find a new job, and after 4 months of looking it just seems to be aggravating my low moods.
Well, I would appreciate any advice or support really. Just thanks for reading.
