a burning fire
inside my heart
a flame of black
there from the start
from the start of depression
from the start of the rain
from the start of the bad thloughts
and of going insane
the black flame and fire
keeps them tunnel black
you turn the wrong way
your heading back
back into the bottom
of the endless pit
back to the bottom
where you rest and sit
the black flame and fire
burns all the good
stops you feeling
any joy that you should
the flame licks your body
your heart and your soul
and within your life
leaves one great big hole
the flame is the pit
which abides within you
the flame if the barrier
stopping you getting through
the flame is depression
the voices in your head
the fear and the nightmares
at times whilst in bed
the urge to hurt
the ones close to you
the controller over
what you do
the flame is the sucide
which clouds your mind
its the longing and wanting
to be left behind
this burning fire
this dark black flame
is the feeling of guilt
and the feeling of shame
it's why your self conscious
its why you are scared
its why your thoughts and emotions
are always impaired
this dark black flame
has hold of me
its tight and its scary
i cannot see
i cant see a light
only a pit
so I give up the fight
and stay where I sit
