Dead Friends
Between the panic and the pillow now
But it's not quite time to wake
There's something of the nightmare the new day can't take
And as I set aside this sun
Diurnal freedom
Greenwater love undone
And now the simple sounds of moving air
That melancholy elsewhere
Where I no longer am
With those who could not be
No backward glance to a more subtle view
It's from here to the dream mix memory
And what was nearly true
