Silent Cry

Can't breathe or make a sound in here
Free forming, forward moving no more
Pressure builds behind my sinuses
Involuntary tightening of my throat, so sore
Reservoir inside my recessive eyes
The salt is stirred but I dont know why
A stinging, dampened still surprise
Perfect pitch despair, choked to rise
Narcissistic face in the mirror
How I always loved to watch it break
Did I really think I could have it all?
Sorry honey, my mistake
Twisted of face and full of soul
Desperate, languid child again
Taken back, no longer whole
Princess of my favourite pain
Choking words still lemon-laced
The words I write are plain
No beauty or pretence this time
From movement I abstain
Now darkness heals and tears are dry
Tightened face and empty all
Just one good thing to draw me out
Into inspiration I crawl
