Final good-bye

I'm tired of the sleepless nights,
Bruised by all these mental fights.
So take these words as my final goodbye,
Because I'm too weak after all these tears you've made me cry.

It sickens me that I can't get on with my life,
Without the support of the knife.
Why can't my heart see,
See that you'll never love me.

Though I'm glad I had the chance to meet someone like you,
Even when you kept breaking me into two.

I wish I had felt the affection that love brings,
But It's too late I'm letting go off my strings.
So could I have a single hug,
Before I go and pull the plug?

Because I know its time for me to slip away,
On this long, forsaken, cloudy day.

And as I slumber towards my death,
I'll be thinking of you as I take my final breathe.

And if you ever wish to shed a tear,
I want you to know I'll always be near.

Don't think that I ever lied,
When you come and visit my grave-side,
Because I loved you until the day I died.

Nicola Roddis
