| Home > Self-help: Take pleasure in everything |
Remember the wonder of childhood, when everything was new, fascinating and interesting? You can learn a lot from that experience. We're not suggesting that you marvel, open-mouthed, at the sun coming up every morning, but simple pleasures are often the most valuable. Laughter, company, good food, scenery, birdsong, books, music, the list is endless. Be less jaded in your appreciation of these things, and don't worry about other people's perceptions; they're often flawed. Humans smile when they feel good, and there's evidence that the reverse is also true; they feel good when they smile.
